About the venue
The new venture from the team behind Birmingham street food traders 'The Indian Rasoi'.
It is a unique dual concept- a dynamic grab and go lunch (11.30am-2.30pm) for the city’s busy professionals and a sleek, relaxed eatery by night (5pm onwards).
The Indian Streatery is the brain child of a family of foodies, whose fondest memories have been created with home-cooked food enjoyed together- in fact the whole idea was dreamt up around the family dinner table!
They are Birmingham’s original ‘Chaat Specialists’ serving the traditional chaat on the city’s street food scene including the famous Digbeth Dining Club. Having hosted kitchen takeovers and been at numerous food festivals, they recognized there is huge support for fresh traditional food made with seasonal and local ingredients.
Meena, the first Asian female Chef to front a Birmingham Indian restaurant said, “As a self taught chef, many years of experiences gained in our family kitchens and a passion for home cooking, we aim to bring traditional dishes which are reminiscent of childhood memories growing up in Birmingham, like our Cannon Hill Park Picnic dish, reminders of long summers spent in Cannon Hill Park."
In addition to the classic chaat dishes and homemade dishes, we will be delivering new unique dishes, with a modern twist, bridging the changing generations.
