Alioli plan to serve authentic tapas with a contemporary edge, including its own spin on the popular Catalan sauce that the bar is named after.

Head chef Alfonso Sanchez, who has years of experience in Spanish cooking under his belt, told Birmingham Live: "We are excited to revive the Spanish food scene in the Midlands.

"We’ll make no compromise in quality and only use the best Spanish-sourced ingredients to give our guests the most authentic experience.

"Our goal is simple - to capture the hearts of local foodies with excellent food that’s packed with culture, heart, and soul."

All dishes will be prepared by specially-recruited Spanish chefs and, just like the menu, the décor has been designed to make guests feel as though they’ve escaped to the Mediterranean coast.

The restaurant's logo is also inspired by the colourful style of Spanish tiles and mimics tapas plates and flowery garlic heads - an ingredient which is found in abundance in alioli sauce.

Alioli will be the latest addition to Solihull's expanding food and drink scene, joining the likes of Asha's restaurant, Yakinori and Jamaya in Touchwood's Jubilee Walk.

Owners are yet to reveal a food menu for the new restaurant, but have promised an exquisite wine list with a vibrant ambience to match.
