Where to eat at Touchwood Shopping Centre

23 July 2021

You wouldn’t necessarily think a shopping centre is a ‘go-to’ place for a decent meal these days, but there’s a lot happening up in Solihull you need to know about. In today’s guest blog, Laura McEwan (aka Bite Your Brum) is going to reveal all the best places to drink and eat at Touchwood.

Whether you fancy a relaxed date night or just a quick bite to eat while shopping; there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars for you to enjoy. It’s worth remembering the shopping centre is open late so you can visit most of these venues in the evenings, as well as during the day.

To check out the full list of places to drink and eat at Touchwood take a look at the website, but for now we’ll hand you over to Laura who’s been busy curating a great list to suit all budgets.

Asha’s

Did you know you can enjoy award-winning Indian food at Touchwood? Oh yes - the brilliant Asha’s is now part of the food and drink offering here, providing a delicious selection of small plates and curries, plus delightful cocktails. Perfect for a date night, this restaurant offers upmarket dining with tentative service. Try the signature Muscat Ghost curry – super rich, nicely spicy and packed with tender lamb. Located on Level 1.

Jamaya

Offering a taste of Jamaica, this bright and colourful restaurant serves up delicious jerk chicken and great value sharing platters, like the Jumbo Taster with a whole chicken, wings, tenders and all the sides. Perfect for day or night, it’s a relaxed setting for a tasty meal or some of their famous frozen cocktails. You’ll find this on Level 1 – look out for the great lunchtime deals they have available.

Wagamama

A reliable chain option, Wagamama is particularly helpful if you have vegan or veggie diners with you as they offer a smashing plant-based menu. The sticky ‘ribs’ are a lovely sweet and spicy snack, while the hot yasi katsu curry is probably the most satisfying vegan main you’ll find. Located on Level 1.

Five Guys

One for the burger fans among you, this popular fast food chain offers flame-grilled patties all made to suit you – apparently there’s over 250,000 possible combinations. You pick the toppings and sides and they’ll do the rest. Good for a grab-and-go lunch, they also offer loaded hotdogs and make a great thick milkshake if you fancy slurping something a bit naughty while you shop. You’ll find Five Guys on Level G.

Coffee Lounge

Whether you fancy brunch, lunch or even afternoon tea, this is a great daytime café for shoppers. As well as freshly brewed Italian coffee you’ll find a large selection of cold drinks (ideal in the summer weather) plus plenty of baked goodies that are sourced locally. Think slabs of brownie and pieces of homemade sponge cake – delicious. Coffee Lounge is on Level G.
