18 February 2022

With another half-term approaching, you’re probably stuck for ideas on where to dine during the week. Whether you want to splash out on a fine-dining experience or grab some quick street food while you’re shopping – we’ve got you covered.

Get ready to go on an adventure of burgers, ranging from the staple classics to a wagyu wonder.

The Vegan -  Holy Moly Macaroni

If you’re craving soul food, Holy Moly is the spot to be. Born in Harlem and made in Harborne, with an infectious vibe that you won’t want to leave!

Holy Moly’s chill-out falafel bagel burger is anything but! Packed with lightly spiced and zesty falafels, guac, pickles and tomatoes, it's the perfect option for all vegans (and a great way to trick the kids into eating more of their 5 a day...)

The Classic - Handmade Burger Co

Famous for their fresh, seasonal ingredients, Handmade Burger Co is a must-try for the whole family. Kids under 12 eat for £5.95 with the selection of a burger, side, drink and a delicious dessert that will keep their tummies full for a day of fun at the Touchwood centre in Solihull.

As if that wasn't good enough already, during the school holidays Handmade Burger Co are offering one FREE kids meal per adult meal! The offer applies from 21st-27th February, so hurry and make your way there during that time so you don't miss out on a great money saving offer.

For you peckish parents, HBC offer a huge variety of banging burgers, but sometimes you just can’t go wrong with a classic melt-in-your-mouth beef burger to hit the spot.

The Indian Fusion – Indico

If you fancy a taste of India this half-term, you should head down to Indico, located in the Mailbox. Indico boasts vibrant decor alongside Indian street food and cocktails (strictly for the parents, of course).

The Double Dhamaka (meaning ‘double blast’) features two fried chicken fillets tossed in special Tikka Masala sauce, served in a handmade brioche bun with lettuce, red onion, pomegranate, coriander and cheese. A North Indian take on a classic chicken burger that's sure to satisfy both parents and fussy children alike.

The Luxury – Nude Bar & Grill

The perfect option for stressed out parents after a jam-packed week with the kids. Found in Bennetts Hill, the heart of Birmingham, Nude offer a premium dining experience. If you’re feeling like splurging, you need to try the Wagyu burger  – consisting of the finest wagyu beef, Monterey jack cheese, candied bacon, Nude signature sauce, sandwiched in a charcoal bun.

Authentic Wagyu beef is among the most sought-after and luxurious meats in the world. What makes it so special is its copious marbling, which creates a luxurious, buttery tenderness. Enjoy with Nude's unique shoestring fries and a thirst-quenching cocktail to complete the experience.

The Dirty – Phat Buns

Phat Buns on Ladypool Road is your go-to for delicious food, as well as an Instagram worthy interior. If you fancy something fully-loaded and don’t mind getting messy, this is the spot for you.

The Flamin’ Cheetos burger is not one for the faint hearted – served with lettuce, tomato, gherkins, cheese, fiery sauce, fiery hot crispy Cheetos, and finished off with a portion of potato tots.

Phat Buns also offer home delivery, if you're in need of a quick fix but can't muster up the energy to get the kids out of the house!
