It is every cocktail fanatic's dream to win a year's supply of delicious concoctions, but unfortunately very few of us ever go on to achieve such great things. Introducing Stephanie, the luckiest lass in Brum.
One lucky customer at The Cuban Embassy has nabbed herself a whole year's supply of Mojitos at the independent Moseley bar and restaurant.
The venue is well known for its live music, party atmosphere and Cuban Cocktails. And let's not forget their mouthwatering Cuban sandwiches.
Last month marked the independent venues' 2nd birthday, and to celebrate they offered everyone the chance to win a year's supply of Mojitos.
That's the stuff of dreams!
As perhaps the most famous Cuban Cocktail, the Mojito is a simple yet deliciously refreshing blend of Havana Club 3 year old rum, lime juice, sugar, fresh mint, a splash of soda water, and a couple of drops of Angostura bitters.
Well, that's if you opt for the most authentic version, and The Cuban Embassy loves to get it just right:
‘We are obsessed with making the perfect Mojito.
After visiting dozens of bars in Cuba to sample their recipes we perfected a classic style Mojito; we use cubed ice not crushed, and freshly squeezed lime juice made on site every day."
To win the competition cocktail-loving hopefuls had to guess the number of Mojitos The Cuban Embassy had sold in the two years they’ve been open.
Out of hundreds of entries, regular customer Stephanie was the lucky winner. She guessed 13,969 and the correct number was 13927.
That's impressive guessing, and a whopping number of Mojitos!
Congratulations to both Stephanie and The Cuban Embassy. Here's to another two years of authentic Cuban cocktails and cuisine!
