This is the perfect place for us. It’s buzzing and pulsing with life and aspiration. We like to do things differently... let’s just say we’re not your average Indian!
We feel that we’re the perfect addition to the local food and drink scene, catering to the appetite and passion of those around us and further out, too.”
What you can expect...
The kitchen team use fresh, wholesome ingredients to create food that is real and homely.
From hearty biryanis and classic curries to more unusual offerings, Tamatanga is renowned for its legendary thalis, filling grill platters, warming wraps and seriously good salads.
Boozy Brunches? Yes please!
Birmingham will see Tamatanga offer a breakfast menu from 7.30am on weekdays with its own twist on the usual morning fare.
And at the weekends, a comforting brunch menu will run from 10am with a bottomless boozy option and a weekly hair-of-the-dog cocktail to banish any cobwebs!
Children and families are welcome, and Tamatanga offers a kids’ menu which has something for even the fussiest of eaters.
The bar area will feature its own seating for those who are just after a drink, with a small but delicious bar menu to satisfy the munchies.
Tamatanga believes that drinks are just as important as the food, offering a vast array of gins, craft beers and creative cocktails, as well as coolers, wines, lassis and soft drinks.
The new restaurant will be situated on Navigation Street, between The Mailbox and Grand Central and is designed to inspire and entertain, invoking the essence of India in a fun and light hearted way.
