Hidden gem The Kitchen Garden Cafe in King's Heath was recently named as one of Birmingham's best hangover breakfasts.
Writing for the Birmingham Mail, journalist Graham Young had the following words of praise for the cosy spot:
"A gated alley way precedes a courtyard filled with plants and garden goodies leading to a little deli stocked with pantry goods, cheese and meats, and the cafe with its wooden beams, exposed brickwork, and art adorning the walls.
"They serve a high quality full English (smoked back bacon, pork sausage, mushrooms, baked beans, free range egg, grilled tomato and choice of toast) and a vegetarian equivalent (with three non-meat sausages).
"Other options include breakfast sandwiches in muffins, baps or bagels, plus kippers (£5.95).
"But what sets them apart is their famous hash potato, a gigantic, freshly cooked and perfectly seasoned plate of fried grated potato and onion."
