Previously home to James Dahl Indian, this hidden gem has quickly become the city’s best-rated restaurant, with customers consistently awarding it five stars and praising it as the best Indian restaurant in Birmingham.
The 55 cover venue is a fan favourite, with a décor that compliments the elegant cuisine. Sumptuous jade velvet set against marble wall panels and gold coloured accents provide a great backdrop to the sophisticated dining experience.
Dad’s will love the Lamb Railway curry, described as a “Taste of the Raj, which is a nod to Spencer’s Railways Catering Services at Victoria Terminus. Another culinary shoutout is the Kadai Kurchan with lamb in a crushed coriander and red chilli masala, blended with no less than 37 spices. A new addition to the menu is the The Kozhi Varha Curry with succulent and tender boneless chicken.
For those seeking seafood indulgence, the Lobster Moilee is a must try with rich meat and flavourful coconut sauce. Alternatively the Tamarind Seabass Serenade and the Tiger Prawn Malabar Style are a treat for the tastebuds.
Those with room for dessert will fall in love with the Ras Malai, a milky, crustless cheesecake cooked with saffron, pistachio and kheer – the perfect way to end a magnificent feast.
