The four-star Macdonald Burlington Hotel has been ranked in the UK's top five ‘best hotel breakfast’ in annual awards by the world’s largest hotel comparison site, trivago.
The site rates the best hotels, across a number of categories, by analysing more than 175 million reviews.
The luxury hotel’s breakfast is served in a grand, Victorian-style room overlooking the city's bustling New Street.
The signature Full Macdonald Breakfast includes the Macleod and Macleod ‘original black pudding’ from Stornoway and can be served with extra slices of bacon, eggs and baked beans at no additional cost.
Guests can also choose grilled Scottish Kippers or the healthy and hearty Scottish classic, porridge, while the unlimited continental buffet features nearly sixty products, from cheeses and smoked salmon to pastries and fresh fruits.

The team at Macdonald Burlington Hotel, one of the oldest in the city, is 'dedicated to providing the best customer service.'
Many staff have served with the hotel for more than a decade, including Lisa Lea from Castle Bromwich, who has been with the company for more than 18 years.
The Macdonald Burlington Hotel has an illustrious history hosting heads of state and celebrities including Winston Churchill and more recently the actor Ian McKellen.
The hotel is nestled amid the stunning architecture of New Street within walking distance of world-class shopping and entertainment.
Johannes Thomas, managing director at trivago, said:
