New Menu Preview: Street Food Dinner, Local Beer & Live Blues

Be among the first to try the brand new street-food inspired menu at The Bull's Head, a heritage Birmingham pub that has taken on a new lease of life.

What's happening?

An exclusive preview evening of tasty food, live blues music and drinks - discover the new menu and the vintage upstairs space at The Bull’s Head on Bishopgate Street. (map)

Expect a relaxed atmosphere with freshly-cooked food and heritage Birmingham beers by Davenports taking centre-stage.

What's on the menu?

You will be treated to three courses of the new street food-inspired menu.

Starters and mains are served sharing-style so you get to try everything on offer.

For dessert you make your choice from from the delicious selection available. 

Starters

Jeera Chicken Skewers - Mildly-spiced marinated chicken chargrill

Lamb Koftas - Chargrilled lamb mince kebabs

Egg Kati Rolls -  Warm paratha flatbread wrapped around a grilled egg

Cauliflower Pakora - Crispy cauliflower-based fritter

Selection of sides and dips including Asian slaw, Mint yoghurt

Mains

Meat Lovers Board - Lashford Sausage (award-winning) with Honey Glaze, BBQ Pulled Pork, Slliced Rump Steak

Seafood Board - Hand-dusted King Prawns, Calamari and Whitebait

Vegetable Board - Hand-battered Cauliflower Pakora, Deep-fried Halloumi, Crumbled Garden Burger, Stuffed Peppers

Served with mixed leaf salad, mini rustic roll, pickles

Desserts

Choose one of:

Blood Orange Sorbet (Vegan/Gluten Free)

Belgian Waffle with Clotted Cream Ice Cream & Salted Caramel 

Banoffee Cream Pie

Sticky Toffee Pudding with Cream or Ice Cream

What about drinks?

You will be welcomed with a complimentary beer by Davenports brewery, the heritage Birmingham beer makers behind the Bull's Head renaissance. (Or a soft drink if you prefer)

There will also be a selection of cocktails available at Happy Hour prices until 8pm.

Live music from top local musician Steve Ajao

As well as enjoying the new food menu and drinks, you'll be entertained by the gravelly tones and classic stylings of Steve Ajao Blues Giants.

Steve is truly a local great, described by the BBC as 'one of Birmingham's top blues and rock guitarists' and by Lenny Henry as 'an amazing musician'.

When and where is it?

This special preview event takes place at The Bull's Head (map) on Thursday 12 October, 6.30pm - 9.30pm, in the vintage dining room.

Tickets are £30 (Early Bird) - £35 (Standard) and include:

Seating will be at group tables so your group may be seated together with other guests.

Starters and mains are served sharing-style so you get to try everything. Desserts are individual.
