The Wine Events Company brings you Birmingham Wine Week, taking place from the 4th to the 10th April 2022! Join them for a week of wine discovery, exploring Birmingham one glass at a time.
THE EXPERIENCE
Buy your festival e-ticket to get access to the brand new Birmingham Wine Weekend App. The BWW App is where you’ll find your Wine Pass; your very own personalised digital wine passport, the key to your grape adventure!
Showing your Wine Pass at each participating venue will unlock specially selected wines at fantastic prices, exclusive to BWW. Each of the venues will be serving you two of the following:
• A specially selected glass of wine (£5)
• A perfect wine and canapé pairing (£7)
In some very special circumstances you’ll find the alternative option of an exclusive premium wine flight.
Birmingham Wine Week starts when the first venue opens on Monday 4 April and it continues right through until the last venues closes on Sunday 10 April. Your Wine Pass is valid for the whole week. That means you can dip into the festival for just one evening of wine tasting or enjoy sipping wine and attending fantastic events all week long!
SPECIAL EVENTS
Your Wine Pass also unlocks access to a fantastic programme of events and offers! Over the years the programme has included some truly extraordinary events: pairing wine and art, welcoming brand ambassadors and sommeliers from across the globe, experimenting in the Wine Lab and hosting some extraordinary wine dinners and masterclasses.
For 2022, the Wine Events Company is curating their best programme yet – all exclusively for festival goers. You can expect to see everything from wine walks and tasting experiences to the opportunity to dine with a Master Sommelier. The schedule of events will go live on 16 February, so make sure you keep an eye out!
THE VENUES
From charming wine bars to stylish hotels, you’ll be raising your wine glass in some of Birmingham’s best venues for wine. The Birmingham Wine Weekend App makes it incredibly easy to plan your route. Read up on all the participating venues, bookmark the special places you want to visit and then use the handy interactive map to navigate your way around the city.
THE WINES
All venues are busy choosing the wines they want to share with you during the festival. You can expect to see some recognisable favourites and some unusual selections that you might not have considered trying before.
During BWW, when you’ve tried one of the festival wines, you’ll be able to rate that wine in the Birmingham Wine Weekend App! You’ll also be able to save your own comments so you can reflect on all the delicious wines you’ve tried and what you liked best.
