New Caribbean restaurant comes to Birmingham

Birmingham can look forward to a new Caribbean restaurant, to add to the variety of over 30 different international cuisines already available across the city.

Turtle Bay restaurant will be serving authentic soul food and island drinks from a location on the corner of John Bright Street, opposite BrewDog and Cherry Reds.

Turtle Bay will inject new flavour into Birmingham's food scene, offering dishes such as Jerk chicken, Blue Mountain Curry Goat and cutters (starters and sharing dishes), inspired by beach shacks and street hawkers from across the Caribbean Islands.

The food menu will also be complimented with a Caribbean cocktail menu, with specialities including Rum Runner and Tobago Tea, completing the island getaway experience

Chris Halford, who has just been appointed general manager at Birmingham's Turtle Bay, said:

"At the moment, the city doesn't have anything like this and I'm sure that it's going to go down a treat. I can't wait to welcome everyone."

"At Turtle Bay we will capturing the essence of being on holiday, when you're relaxed and just enjoying the moment, perhaps just catching up with friends, away from life's troubles, enjoying good food and drink."

Birmingham's Turtle Bay opens to the public on Friday 18th April.
