Rodizio Rico is an authentic Brazilian-style churrascaria, or grilled meat specialist, in The Cube, Birmingham, providing a dining experience like no other.
Warm-up
On arrival at the restaurant, diners are invited to sit back, relax and soak up the traditional South American ambience whilst the restaurant concept is explained.
This is an opportune time to browse the varied drinks list and perhaps order a beer, Brazil's national cocktail the Caipirinha, or another tipple from the well-stocked bar. You are then presented with a small card – red on one side, green on the other – and directed to the salad bar.
Kick-off
The extensive starter boat boasts a variety of traditional hot and cold South American options, including authentic Brazilian street foods, freshly cut exotic vegetables and a whole host of side dishes chosen to complement the main attraction – The Meat.
When a red card is a good thing…
Once you've loaded your plates with side dishes and are seated back at your table, it's then that the fun really begins! Just as in traditional South American churrascaria restaurants, when meat-cards are shown green side up, experienced passadores circulate the restaurant and pass from table to table, slicing grilled skewered meats directly from the traditional charcoal grill onto your plate.
With a huge array of freshly grilled meats to choose from, including lamb, beef, pork, chicken and the restaurant's very own homemade gourmet sausages, Rodizio Rico really is a meat lover's dream.
No appetite is too large and the waiters will gladly continue to slice and serve freshly grilled meat cuts until you can eat no more. If you feel yourself flagging, simply flip your meat-card to red to ensure that you are left alone until you're ready to get back in the game!
No veggie left behind
Although the restaurant is recognised as being a ‘carnivore's delight,' for those non-meat eaters, Rodizio Rico also puts on a variety of vegetarian options. These include stuffed tomato and mushroom dishes, grilled halloumi* cheese* and freshly grilled vegetable skewers ensuring that whether or not you eat meat, you'll be left satisfied..
Extra time
For those who still have room, Rodizio Rico also offers a dessert menu filled with delicious traditional Brazilian puddings and after dinner liqueurs – perfect for ending your dining experience on a sweet note!
