Olly Smith, TV Wine Expert, to Host Dinner at Hotel du Vin Birmingham [Win tickets]

Olly Smith, famous for TV shows like Saturday Kitchen, The Secret Supper Club and Iron Chef UK, is launching a series of wine dinners, kicking off in Birmingham with a romp through The Classics: Wine's Greatest Hits.

This event will showcase just how and why top-notch winemakers, vineyards, grapes and bottles earn their prestige and status.  It takes place at Hotel du Vin Birmingham on 3rd November 2013, and includes 5 courses, champagne and matched wines.

The celebrated wine author and popular television aficionado on all things vino is taking his love of wine on tour, launching a quartet of wine dinners at different Hotel du Vin locations around the country – each one bespoke with dishes selected to pair the wines on a journey of eager sampling infused with Olly's uniquely infectious enthusiasm.

Olly's Secrets of Matching Wine With Food feast will take place at Hotel du Vin, Bristol on 16 March 2014.  On 27th April 2014, Olly will guide diners at Hotel du Vin Harrogate with Rioja & Beyond - The Legends of Spanish Vino focusing beyond the delights of Rioja.  Finally on 8th June 2014, Brighton hosts Olly's guide to the Hidden Gems of Portugal.

Tickets at £95 per person are available for the first wine dinner on 3 November at Hotel du Vin Birmingham, or at £269 for two, including overnight stay.
