New Start for the New Inn: Harborne pub transformed

Birmingham's leafy suburb of Harborne is the spot chosen for the latest dining and drinks venue from Bitters ‘n Twisted group. The people behind the popular Island Bar, Bodega and Jekyll and Hyde have teamed up with Marston's to turn a longstanding traditional pub into a new bar and grill outside the city centre.

The New Inn, located just off Harborne's high street, has undergone a month of refurbishment, gaining a fresh new interior while retaining its original structure and architecture. Visitors to the Inn, due to open on Friday 27th April, can look forward to a steakhouse experience, enhanced by the presence of a unique charcoal grill on the premises.

While the real ales and wines you would expect from a local pub will still be available, the addition of an extensive cocktail list marks the desire to craft a more sophisticated and contemporary meeting-place.

Matt Scrivens, director of Bitters ‘n Twisted, said the new development "presented the ideal opportunity to create a real urban oasis, but also to bring something new to the residents of Harborne."

This is not the first time that Bitters ‘n Twisted have undertaken to click refresh on an old local venue. Last year, Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter welcomed the new-look Rose Villa Tavern, also housed within a traditional pub building.

The New Inn brings this ethos of modern dining in an antique setting to another corner of Birmingham.
