Taste the Big Apple in the Heart of Birmingham at Manahatta

The beat of New York was pumping on Temple Street last weekend, with the grand opening of NYC inspired bar Manahatta at their exclusive VIP launch last Friday.

The red carpet was filled with eager guests excited to soak up the glitzy atmosphere of the New York City nightlife.

The venue is perfect for party go-ers - illuminated with neon signs, decorated in flowers and a velvet swing sofa, ready to be snapped for the ‘gram. A giant disco ball dominates the dance floor, along with an iconic New York crossing sign giving one simple instruction: “Don’t Walk. Dance”.

Brummies were certainly ready to party hard, the event attracted more than 750 guests strutting through the doors eager to experience some Manahatta magic.

Guests were greeted by towering stilt walkers, glistening in emerald sequins and feather boas; dancing mirror men and glamorous dancers all shimmering under the giant disco ball.

Together with the DJ playing from his pulpit and the sax player, you couldn't help but dance to the beat.

Selfie fans spiralled down the iron staircase to happily queue for the large photo booth downstairs, kitted with permanent studio lights for the perfect picture. #Manahatta

The beat of New York was welcomed to Birmingham with open arms, and they're ready to celebrate the festive season just around the corner.
