The 28th Birmingham International Jazz & Blues Festival will bring musicians from across the globe to the city. One star act, The Daryl Sherman Trio, is set to leave behind the exclusive jazz bars of Manhattan for a special dinner performance at Birmingham's Hotel La Tour.

The hotel's recently-launched Aalto Restaurant (read our review) will be refreshing its gourmet repertoire with a new three course menu, specially composed for the musical occasion by Head Chef Alex Penhaligon.
Located on the edge of Digbeth, near Moor Street Station, the £24 million four-star hotel and restaurant complex makes an apt setting for receiving one of the jazz scene's gilded stars.
The hotel's new grand piano will accompany the stylings of Daryl Sherman, a well-renowned artist whose many performances in New York included a regular stint at the world-famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
