Get ready for the tasty Birmingham Restaurant Festival

7 June 2022

I've got a little secret for you: Birmingham is home to an incredible restaurant scene. If you haven't visited in the last couple of years, now's your chance! From 22nd August until 4th September 2022 many restaurants are banding together for the Birmingham Restaurant Festival. Restaurants will offer exclusive festival menus and exciting dining experiences during this 2-week celebration of all things food.

Even if you don’t live in Birmingham, this is a great excuse to visit for a foodie mini-break! The festival will take place in neighbourhoods all around the city, with plenty of opportunities to check out local businesses alongside your favourite dishes and drinks.

The full venue list hasn’t been revealed just yet but here is the list of some of the restaurants that will be participating in the festival. Be prepared to feel the hunger while reading…

The fabulous Gaucho is at the top of our list. It's the ideal place to go for top-notch Argentinian steaks, superb wines, and distinctive cocktails. When you walk into their steakhouse in Birmingham's city centre, you'll be welcomed with stylish interiors inspired by Argentina's woodlands, as well as warm smiles from their exceptional staff. Gaucho is located in the heart of the city, only a few steps from Cathedral Square.

Exceptional Adam Strokes' Oyster Club will also be participating. It provides you with a casual and relaxing approach to dining. With an Oyster Bar, a menu concentrating on superb food, and a magnificent wine list, it fits in nicely.

There is of course Gusto Italian, the restaurant, which combines the flavors of the north and the south and feels the diversity of regions and aromas. A beautiful setting for a peaceful evening, catching up with old friends or planning a romantic night. Finish the evening with limoncello and cannoli to give your palette a full flavour of Sicily. You will not be disappointed if you visit here.

Asha's is a must-visit restaurant, which will allow you to taste India on just one plate. A multi-award restaurant where you will eat in style is perfect for last-minute plans with your loved ones. It is a great place to visit during the festival and enjoy a signature cocktail or two.

Other, but no less important, restaurants that will participate in the festival are The Blue Piano, Chapter, Chung Ying Cantonese Restaurant, The Coconut Tree, Cosy Club Birmingham, Cosy Club Brindley Place, Primitivo Bar & Eatery, Rosa’s Thai, Rouge Brasserie, Sabai Sabai, The High Field, Manahatta, Milan Indian Cuisine, Viceroy, Zen Metro, and Zindiya Streatery & Bar. Over two weeks, the festival will offer something for everyone.

We hope you enjoyed reading about what Birmingham Restaurant Festival has to offer. There are so many options - you'll want to try them all! In July, we will unveil all of the details to you. To be the first to hear about tickets and reservations, keep an eye on all future updates.

Until next time!
