Foodies Festival launched in 2005 and has now grown into the largest food and drink festival in the UK.

It's still all about locality though, with small producers and bakers, and the most exciting and talented chefs in each region being showcased.

Foodies Festival is known for having the impress that comes with it's popularity, without compromising the local and independent feel.

Join in the Fun

An all-star line up will be cooking up a storm in the Chef’s Theatre, including My Kitchen Rules host Glynn Purnell,  Michelin-starred chefs Brad Carter of Carters of Moseley and Rob Palmer of Peels Restaurants, as well as Great British Bake Off finalist 2017 Steven Carter Bailey to name but a few, all offering recipe secrets and tips to take home.

There's a huge amount going on and certainly something for everyone, no matter whether you enjoy sipping fine wines, or munching on seriously good street food.

Here's what's happening this year:

  • Feast in the Street Food Avenue
  • Learn to bake in the Cake and Bake Theatre
  • Enjoy afternoon tea in the Vintage Tea Tent
  • Taste wine, champagne and craft beer in the Drinks Theatre
  • Buy from local producers in the Artisan Market
  • Kids enjoy the Childrens Cookery Theatre
  • Live music on the Live Music Stage
  • Refreshing cocktails from the Tequila Shack, Tikki Rum Bar, Gin Station, double decker Bar Bus and Pimms Teapot

You can also take part in the brand new Foodies Festival Workshops which include:

  • Power of Plant Based Proteins
  • Gut Friendly Food
  • Kombucha: A Healthy Tipple
  • Craft Tea – DIY Tea Blends
  • Prosecco & parmesan tasting
  • Beer and chocolate tasting
  • Cocktail & Botanicals Masterclasses.

The festival is introducing some messy fun this year with a brand new Cream Pie throwing contest and Chilli Eating Competition.

There will also be a Kid Zone with fun cookery classes run by Super Chefs, bouncy castles, face painting, craft area and giant garden games.

Brand New Music Stage

This year includes the launch of a brand new Musicians Against Homelessness music stage and extended opening times.

The festival will celebrate live music into the night on the newly launched stage with performances from much-loved headliner Toploader, power pop group Dodgy and hugely admired band The Hoosiers.

Supported by Musicians Against Homelessness, the live music stage will see talented emerging bands and solo artists perform with tickets raising money for UK-wide homelessness charity Crisis.

Alan McGee, Patron of Musicians Against Homelessness, said:

“Foodies Festival is the UK's largest food and drink festival and with such fantastic summer events it seemed a natural link to partner with a festival that reaches the hearts of so many local communities.

In turn, we’re confident that they can help us raise awareness and funds for our homelessness charity Crisis by bringing popular headliner bands to their stages alongside some of the country’s best unsigned musical talent."
