More about Don Diego and Authentic Tapas Group
The business is independently-owned and run by husband and wife team Alfonso and Emma Yufera-Ruiz. Alfonso hails from Gran Canaria, and they both undertook culinary training at University College Birmingham.

Many ingredients used at the restaurant are painstakingly sourced from Spain. One example is the Iberian pork used in their chorizo and other cured meats. These come from a small herd of organically-reared pigs, fed on acorns to give their meat a rich, nutty flavour.
The drinks menu similarly boasts native specialities like sherries from the south of Spain, hazelnut liqueur, and that quintessential refreshment in the heat of summer, sangria.
Emma Yufera-Ruiz from Authentic Tapas Group said:
"We're really looking forward to this event and it's shaping up to be an exciting and enjoyable day. If I wasn't working at it, I would probably come along as a visitor and bring my kids!
"This is a great time to be a restaurant owner or a foodie in the West Midlands, as there is so much excitement and positivity about what the region has to offer."
