Birmingham’s City Centre Bar, The Pineapple Club, is named one of the 50 best in the UK!

The award-winning team behind The Pineapple Club have had it announced today that they have reached the UK’s Official Top 50  list. Last year the bar was named as one of The Guardian’s top 10  Post lockdown must-visits bars in the world, and it has now been placed on the UK’s top 50 list!

The Pineapple Club is a relaxed cocktail bar and restaurant with a kitchen headed up by Santiago Plaza, ex-head chef of much loved El  Borachio.  

The team has now settled in to their site in the beautiful grade  two listed Great Western Arcade.  

Managing Director Samuel Boulton said "This year has seen us grow  from strength to strength, there has been a lot of hoop jumping  (which seems to not be going away!). However the team has pulled  together so much to make this happen”. 

The Pineapple Club early next year will be opening their 2nd  venture, the much anticipated, Shibuya Underground, an 8 seater  Japanese Cocktail and Sake bar. In the lead up to this, they have teamed up with Kodawari a Brum Japanese food staple to do a 5  course pairing evening (tickets for this event are on sale now on the Pineapple Club’s website). 

Boulton also said, “It’s really great to be flying the flag for  Birmingham, it’s also great to see who else in the city has made it on the list, such as the awesome Couch- Stirchley!”
