Birmingham Rum Festival is back and we are putting together an exclusive cocktail menu featuring all the fantastic rum brands from the festival.
Guests will be able to wander around The Cuban Embassy and sample many different rums including classic, spiced, craft and flavoured varieties from the brand stands.
Meanwhile, the bartenders will be mixing up a special menu of delicious cocktails showcasing the rums at their very best.
This menu is all new and exclusive to the festival (Sat 30 June and Sun 1 July).
Here are the festival cocktails confirmed so far...
Atlántico Mai Tai
A tasty and subtly tropical blend of Atlántico Platino and Reserva rums, Velvet Falernum, Creme de Banane and Creme de Abricot, garnished with mint, grapefruit and icing sugar.
Atlántico Rum Espresso
Like espresso martinis? You'll love this marriage of Atlántico Platino with sweet demerara sugar syrup and - of course - rich coffee.
Atlántico Cable Car
Atlántico Reserva rum meets peach and fresh lemon juice in this zingy, lively cocktail perfect for anyone who likes a sour.
Appleton Estate Mai Tai
Appleton Estate Reserve Blend, mixed with fresh lime juice, orange curacao and orgeat (orange flower syrup) makes for a refreshing tipple.
Appleton Estate Rum Old Fashioned
This is a chance to try the Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Year Old, blended with Angostura bitters and sugar syrup in a classic rum Old-Fashioned, topped with orange peel.
Something like a sundowner in the tropics, this long cocktail marries Blackwell Rum with pineapple juice and fresh lime.
Simple and classic, this version of the Dark and Stormy blends Mount Gay Black Barrel rum with ginger ale and a hint of orange.
Mount Gay XO Old-Fashioned
Mount Gay XO rum muddled with orange, sugar and Angostura bitters. Not forgetting the cherry on top.
The smooth coconut flavours of Aluna rum are added to fresh pineapple juice and coconut water
Devilish drink with a dash of lemon and lime, generous helpings of Cloven Hoof and Over Hoof rums, pineapple juice, orange juice and sweet grenadine.
And there are more on the way...
Keep an eye out as we reveal the rest of the exclusive cocktail menu in the coming weeks.
