Love it or hate it, it's the season of love and romantic candlelit dinners are popping up everywhere.
As much as we enjoy eating great food in good company, we know that lots of people can find Valentine's Day a little stale.
Luckily for you Birmingham has gone all out this year, and there's loads of great traditional, and alternative, Valentine's celebrations on offer.
We've compiled a list of some of the best to help you discover a way of celebrating 14th February a little differently to everyone else.
So whether you want to spice up your usual romantic Valentine's dinner with exotic flavours, or you fancy a night out sipping cocktails with the girls, there's something for everyone celebrating Valentine's (or 'Galentine's!) this year...

2. Valentine's Day for the Gin Lover: Masterclass & Charcuterie in the City Centre
Gather in the Gin Parlour for a celebration of all things juniper.
Tickets are £25 and include a Gin Masterclass where you'll learn about the history of gin and enjoy tastings, an Anderson & Hill Cheese and Charcuterie experience, and a relaxing evening in the parlour with the Gin Gurus.
Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th February. The parlour opens from 6:30pm for a 7pm start.

3. Romantic Four Course Champagne Dinner
If you and your Valentine consider yourselves Champagne connoisseurs, or you just want to indulge in the best of the bubbly, Hotel du Vin have got the perfect evening lined-up for you both: a four course Lallier Champagne dinner.
Head over for a special evening of decadence hosted by wine dinner favourite and Master Sommelier Nigel Wilkinson of Boutinot Wines.
Tickets are £99 and include an arrival drink with canapés and a four course dinner perfectly paired with Champagne.
Friday 16th February. Perfect for those who prefer to keep their celebrations to the weekend!

4. Take a Trip to South America for Valentine's Day
Bodega will be serving their Latin American homemade menu, so you can pick and choose as you like.
As a special Valentine's Day treat you'll also get a sharing dessert platter (though sharing is of course optional!)
If you can say the password (shhh...it's the Spanish word for 'Heart') you'll enjoy a cocktail with love from them, to you when you dine!

5. Enchanting Lebanese Inspired Valentine's Day Set Menu
Lewis's are offering a special 3-course Lebanese meal based on their famous Lebanese Gemmayzeh nights.
For just £24.95 per person you'll get to choose from treats like 7-spice slow roast lamb, harissa roast hake, and shish taouk chargrilled chicken. They also have plenty of veggie, vegan and gluten-free options.
Desserts include cardamom and espresso chocolate mousse cake, and poached pears with pistachios, gelato and Katafi pastry.
Lewis's Lebanese feast is set to be the best Valentine's Day celebration for the Middle Eastern food lover.
Wednesday 14th February. Lewis's don't normally open on Wednesday evenings, so this should be extra special!
