Best places to al fresco with family and friends from 12th April

Every year on 17th March, Birmingham sees thousands of people take to its streets in green attire and big parades, as bars and restaurants welcome them to celebrate and enjoy a beer in the name of the old Irish saint.

Lockdown has definitely thrown a spanner in the works, but do not worry restaurants and bars are preparing to reopen and welcome you back in for food and drinks. We have selected several beer gardens for you to enjoy this Spring.

The Plough

Located in Harborne,  The Plough is one of Brum's most unique spaces yet. Enjoy a classic pub grub whilst relaxing out on The Plough's patio. You won't have to worry about the weather either as the patios are heated!

The Button Factory

You will find The Button Factory in the busy streets of the Jewellery Quarters. It is considered one of the best summer terraces in Birmingham, The Button Factory is perfect for those looking to catch dinner or a few pints in the sun.

The Old Crown

The Old Crown is Birmingham’s oldest secular building and has existed since 1368. Having stood the test of time during the English civil war the pub & events garden now stands proud in the heart of Digbeth, Birmingham’s thriving creative quarter. It acts as a central hub to the Digbeth community and is a landmark for our city.

Original 1800 period features are set against a contemporary design, providing a perfectly offbeat backdrop to the friendly banter drifting over from the bar. Linger over a pub lunch or relax with your favourite pint (there are a fair few to sample), soaking up the warm, bohemian vibe of the local residents.
