There's just one week to wait until proper fried chicken, gnarly loaded fries and punchy cocktails land on John Bright Street.

 

BoneHead, Birmingham's brand new gourmet and free range fried chicken joint, is set to open on John Bright Street next week.

Not at all like your usual fast-food-style fried chicken, BoneHead is all about the good stuff.

Their top secret special fried chicken coating will come in regular and spicy versions so you can control the heat of your fried chicken without compromising on flavour.

The menu should include Nashville hot chicken thigh burgers with pickles and comeback sauce, buttermilk fried chicken pieces and loaded waffle fries on the side.

Everyone's favourite part, the wings, are also looking good. BoneHead's take will be Soy Honey Butter X Jack Daniels Syrup wings, which should be the perfect combo of sweet and strong.

Something to wash it down with...

And washing it all down with craft beer and hard liquor will be heartily encouraged.

Craft beer will be in adundance with a wide selection including Beavertown Lupuloid IPA and Lervig beer on tap, and local guest brewers will regularly mix things up.

The punchy cocktails and spirits expected to be on offer will also allow BoneHead to live up to its promise of 'chicken and liquor'.

With a laid back and industrial vibe, the restaurant will have a bar downstairs with high stools for food, and another 32 covers upstairs, and will operate on a first come, first served basis.

The menu has been crafted by Lap-fai Lee of The Foodist and we're excited to see what it's all about.

BoneHead will open its doors on Friday 9th March at 6pm and it will be open five days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
